The dew of dawn comes due

When I wake my 9-year old in the mornings for school, it’s often a task. I’m sort of a morning person. He most certainly is not. When my alarm goes off in the morning, I rarely hit the snooze button. Don’t get me wrong though. It’s not because I don’t want the extra sleep. It’s because if I lie back down, chances are, I will very well over sleep. Yet even being a morning person, I still need to process in my own way, before I’m ready to begin my daily movements and so does he.

For my son, I enter his room about 15 minutes prior to the time that he needs to wake up. I turn off sleep aids such as the fan and his meditation music. Then I move about his room regularly, as I find something for him to wear for the day, while calling his name. This ultimately brings about a slow shift in his body followed by a couple of desperate pleas, “nooooo…please…nooooo…it’s too earrrrrly”. Then there are those days when he moves so slowly that he’s pushing my patience limit. In those cases, I will sometimes turn on the ceiling fan light which is essentially ‘daylight bright’. This light is much too bright for his wake up process as it is shocking, overwhelming and a bit disorienting. But sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures and since I’m not jockeying for parent of the year, a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do!

For many of us, this is how the awakening process can be on our spiritual journeys. When we first “wake up’ we can be faced with so much “light” that it’s blinding and disorienting. You may have noticed that I put the word “light” in quotes here. Not to disqualify or downplay the light as a valid path, but often in the beginning, the light is so bright that it obscures deeper truths on both collective and personal levels. For some, the light is a bombardment of EXTERNAL knowledge, information, convictions, philosophies, interpretations, laws, etc. While we all can benefit from learning from others throughout our spiritual journey, the highest level of learning will be learning about ourselves through the work of self. Everything that I have learned and continue to learn from external sources and divine vessels, still has to pass the litmus test of my highest self, my own oversoul. Emphasis on oversoul and highest self here because sometimes we humanly deny what is best for us and absorb what is not, because we haven’t come to know ourselves spiritually. Thus we are not in tune with what is best for us.

This week’s message is inspired by three cards from the Earth Alchemy Oracle; Obsidian and Hellebore with Shadow Mirror, Selenite and Willow Tree with Goddess Spiral, Golden Topaz and Yellow Rose with Abundance.

For some of you, your time spent in the shadows and the darkness has come to an end and the dew of the dawn now awaits you. You’ve put in the time and the work of getting to know yourself on so many levels. You have found THE most important light of all; the light of the divine within you. With this light you have been able to find your tribe, your teachers, your mentors, your guides and most of all, YOU! You know who you are, while there is still more to discover. You know your path, while you may not always know exactly where it will lead. You have come to trust this inner knowing though, this divine light.

Just like in the myth of the Sun God Ra’s nightly descent into the underworld, you have faced many challenges and much opposition. There were times when you may have felt alone but you were never alone. The unseen world is just as present as the seen world. You have allies in the darkness and the light. Do not let the world tell you differently, when you know this at the deepest level. They both are (and will be) necessary throughout your evolution. Knowing how to navigate the darkness and the light are essential to your elevation. And remember, through all your rites of passage and initiations, while you are the main star, you will always be supported.

Your time is now. Through your deep inner alchemy, you have activated the divine within and it is ready to present itself in your physical world. Do not second guess the goodness of it, by telling yourself it’s too good to be true. Do not expect “the other shoe to drop.” Don’t look over your shoulder as if someone can take it from you. Honor YOU. Honor your blessings and let them work for you and others who are meant to be blessed by your divine existence.

FEEL FREE TO DECREE: My heart and mind are open to and in harmony with abundance, prosperity, joy, success, optimal health and wealth.

Open your heart to what is yours today. Feel the freshness of the dew and the newness of the dawn. Rise and shine!
